Personal data protection and cookies

Any internet user who logs in and uses ardan.law as well as any professional or individual having capacity within the meaning of Articles 1123 et seq. of the French Civil Code, who visits ardan.law, agrees to the collection and use of their personal data under the conditions described below.

Ardan collects and manages the User’s personal data in compliance with the French Data Protection Act, as amended, as well as with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (‘GDPR’).

1. Category of data collected

The following data is collected from the User: surname, first names, email address, telephone number, as well as any other data enabling the User to be identified, which the latter has spontaneously communicated to Ardan, either by browsing ardan.law or by sending an email to Ardan, whether to request information or submit an application.

2. Intended purpose

The data collected by Ardan is used to respond to User requests and/or process any applications received. This data may also be processed for statistical and security purposes. These processing operations are justified by Ardan’s legitimate interests, as per Article 6.1 (f) GDPR.

The personal data collected by Ardan is retained for a period that does not exceed the period necessary to achieve the purpose for which it was collected, plus any applicable limitation period.

3. Data receipients

The recipients of this data are the partners and employees of Ardan as well as Ardan’s subcontractors and, where applicable, Ardan’s partners involved in processing User requests.

4. Exercise of rights

As per the French Data Protection Act and the GDPR, the User has the right to obtain and, if necessary, rectify or erase their data by contacting Ardan at the following email address: contact@ardan.law

The User whose data was collected may object at any time, on legitimate grounds, to the processing of their data in accordance with the procedures specified above.

The User may also file a complaint with the Commission Nationale de l’Informatique et des Libertés (CNIL), the supervisory authority responsible for the protection of personal data in France.

5. Cookies

A cookie, or tracker, is a text file that does not allow the data subject to be directly identified but stores information on their computer and/or device relating to the pages they viewed on the internet, the dates and times of the viewing, and the information entered and stored to
avoid having to enter it again (‘Cookies’). Navigating on the Website may lead to Cookies being installed on the User’s device.

The purpose of these Cookies is to:

  • facilitate the use of the Website;
  • be able to share content on social media;
  • make it possible to assess the Website’s audience.

The User may object to the storage of Cookies by configuring their browser according to the procedure described by the CNIL available at the following address: www.CNIL.fr.

Data relating to User Cookies is retained for a period of 13 months from its collection.
